Comics Experience is happy to announce a new Master Seminar taught by award-winning comedian, writer, and filmmaker Greg Pak! The Master Seminar with Greg Pak: The Pak-Process will take place online on Saturday, July 13, 2019. Registration is now open.
Pak is a multi-hyphenate author whose writing credits encompass Marvel’s blockbuster Planet Hulk and Star Wars comics, the acclaimed children’s ebook The Princess Who Saved Herself, and the unbiased anthology film Robot Stories. His work has earned accolades from Wizard Mag, and IGN received Marvel.Com reader polls and a Rockefeller Media Arts Fellowship.
In this Master Seminar, Pak will spend the entire day guiding new and experienced writers through the steps of his carefully honed writing style, even assisting them in developing their personal style. Using equipment and insights subtle throughout his profession, Pak will demonstrate practical storytelling standards and problem-fixing techniques that scholars can use immediately in their own work.
Pak reflects, “During my fifteen 12 months comics career, I’ve written or co-written nearly five hundred individual comic book scripts. In the final six months alone, I’ve turned in approximately 40 scripts, which even I have a bit of hassle wrapping my head around. Every author has an exclusive, equally valid method. But this can be an advent to at least one working comedian ebook creator’s techniques for turning hundreds of crazy ideas and goals into actual scripts.”
Comics Experience founder and trainer Andy Schmidt will moderate the session if you want to include a question-and-solution duration with the teachers. Schmidt expressed his pleasure to companion with Pak for the Master Seminar, commenting, “I’ve wanted Greg to educate this route for a couple of years. His technique is incredible, and his dedication to coming across and workshopping the first-rate viable version of a script is unheard of, and now attendees can find out how he does it.”
Online registration is $295 for the entire day session from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on July thirteen. In addition to invaluable coaching, students will have access to the recorded audio and video of the seminar for two weeks after the occasion. Anyone interested in this unique opportunity can check Comics Experience’s website to sign in and analyze more! Space is predicted to fill quickly, so folks who want to fill a gap are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.
Who is it for?
Anyone can benefit from Expressive Writing. Many people keep a journal in their teens, which isn’t surprising because this is a time of huge change and adjustment. However, returning to (or picking up) Expressive Writing as an adult can be equally beneficial.
If you love talking, you might discover that writing gives you a more objective and balanced perspective. If you find it hard to speak in general or about something compassionate, you might be more comfortable exploring this through writing. In a nutshell, it’s easier to write something than to say it.
