Frequently Asked Questions(FAQs)

Q: How many students would you say are very liberal at your school?

A: In my college, there are approximately 20 percent Democrats, 20 percent Republicans, and 60 percent Independents. Many students who identify as liberals tend to live in the city and are more into politics than living off campus. But as I have gotten older, I’ve become more moderate and liberal. I like being able to express my beliefs through art and activism.

Q: Do you think being on the board of any political organization helps you in your role as a fashion model?

A: My involvement with Students for Sensible Drug Policy and the Young Democratic Socialists helps me make decisions in my life and learn how to deal with other people and situations. It’s a great way to learn about different perspectives and to open my eyes. I feel that it has changed my outlook on politics.

Q: How do you plan to use your platform to fight for social justice?

A: I want to raise awareness and fight against the stigma around drug use. I hope to educate people about the dangers of drugs and the effects that drugs can have on people. I’m interested in speaking to high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools about the dangers of drugs. I want to educate them about the problems with prescription drugs and help them understand the risks of marijuana.
